In 2012 there were 56 million deaths registered. Thus, cardiovascular diseases caused 3 in every 10 deaths. Maybe it’s time to quit smoking after reading this fact? If not, stay tuned as we will bring even more bad facts about tobacco.

Expanding on the death theme, there are some more interesting facts. 7 in every 10 deaths are among people aged 70 years and older for high-income countries. Those in poor countries a less lucky. Almost 4 in every 10 deaths are among children under 15 years. Only 2 in every 10 deaths are among people aged 70 years and older.

There has been considerable improvements in recent years, but not that much.
